Counselling courses at Kent Counselling Training

We offer a structured and ethical counselling training pathway designed to help adults move from curiosity to professional qualification safely and gradually.

All courses are CPCAB approved and Ofqual regulated.

Progression between levels is clear and there are no shortcuts.

You do not need to commit to the full journey at the start. Each stage helps you decide whether to continue.

Level 2 · Foundation

Certificate in
Counselling Skills

A safe and supportive starting point.

This course introduces counselling skills, ethical awareness and reflective practice. It is the main entry point for beginners and career changers.

Ideal if you are exploring counselling training and want to begin safely before committing to professional practice.

  • 30 weeks · £995 incl. VAT, CPCAB registration fee and electronic course textbook

  • September 2026 start

Level 3 · Intermediate

Certificate in
Counselling Studies

Level 3 deepens your understanding of counselling approaches, ethics and professional responsibility.

 

It prepares you academically and emotionally for diploma-level training.

 

Ideal if you have completed Level 2 and are considering the next step.

 

The total cost is £7,000, including VAT, CPCAB registration fee for the two years, and the electronic course textbook.

  • 30 weeks · £1,200 incl. VAT and CPCAB registration fee

Level 4 · Professional Diploma

Diploma in
Therapeutic Counselling

The Level 4 Diploma includes supervised client work, personal therapy and rigorous assessment.

It is the professional qualification required to practise as a counsellor in the UK.

Ideal for students committed to becoming a qualified counsellor.

  • 2 years part-time

  • BACP approved
